From the moment you arrive, our friendly team will be there to welcome you, introduce themselves and help you feel at ease.

We understand that visiting somewhere new can sometimes feel a little daunting. Our aim is to create a relaxed, friendly atmosphere where you can settle in at your own pace.

You’ll have the opportunity to discover some of the enjoyable activities that make Quantock Day Care such a rewarding place to spend time.

Depending on the day’s programme, you might enjoy arts and crafts, games, cooking, gentle exercise, nature activities or simply spending time getting to know others.

There’s no expectation to join in with everything. You can choose the activities that interest you and participate in ways that feel comfortable.

Friendship and social interaction are an important part of Quantock Day Care.

During your visit, you’ll have the opportunity to meet other people, share conversations and experience the friendly, inclusive atmosphere we aim to create.

Whether you enjoy group activities or prefer quieter conversations, we want everyone to feel welcome and included.

Is the taster day free?

Free taster days have been offered. Please contact our team to confirm current availability and whether a complimentary visit can be arranged.

Can a family member or carer come with me?

We understand that having someone familiar nearby can help you feel more comfortable. Please discuss this with our team when arranging your visit so we can agree suitable arrangements.

Do I have to take part in every activity?

No. We encourage everyone to make their own choices and participate at a pace that feels right for them.

What if I’m nervous about visiting?

That’s completely understandable. Our team will do their best to make you feel welcome and comfortable. You can tell us about any concerns before your visit.

What should I bring?

Our team will explain anything you may need to bring when your visit is arranged, depending on the activities planned and your individual requirements.

Do I have to sign up after my taster day?

No. The purpose of a taster day is to help you decide whether Quantock Day Care is right for you. There is no obligation to arrange regular attendance.

Sometimes the best way to discover whether somewhere is right for you is to experience it for yourself.
